Demographics and Market Information

The Senior Market is Making History!

In today’s marketplace nationally,

Our Aging Population Market

The aging of the baby boom generation could fuel more than a 50 percent increase in the number of Americans ages 65+ requiring nursing home care, to about 1.9 million in 2030 from 1.2 million in 2017.

Demand for elder care will also be driven by a steep rise in the number of Americans living with Alzheimer’s disease, which could more than double by 2050 to 13.8 million, from 5.8 million today.

The National Health and Aging Trends Study (NHATS) shows that just over 20 percent of adults ages 65 to 69 have either poor capacity (physical limitations, poor vision, poor hearing, or probable dementia), while more than 80 percent have poor capacity by age 90.

According to AARP's Longevity Economy Outlook report, the American 50+ population would be the world's third-largest economy if it was its own country.

We’re Reaching Local Seniors

Hillsborough County, is the 4th largest county in Florida with over 1.4 million residents in 2020.  Of those, 203,000 are seniors 65+,, representing 14.5% of the population in the Tampa/Hillsborough county area. By 2040, that number will jump to over 500,000 persons 65+.  Florida continues to be the number one destination of retirees.  So you can see we have a growing senior market seeking  your services and products.

The 73 million men and women age 50 plus in the United States represent just 27% of the general population, yet they control 70% of all personal wealth in the United States, more than $7 trillion.  Their combined personal income exceeds $900 billion.
