Alzheimer’s Facilities/Memory Care Units

Provide care for those afflicted with Alzheimer’s and/or Dementia, resulting in impaired cognitive functions.  Memory care/support units can be found in Assisted Living Facilities and/or Nursing Homes.  Some of the facilities listed will also provide a secured unit for those residents who tend to wander.  The purpose of the various memory support programs is to provide care and assistance with activities of daily living in a structured, supportive environment that is designed specifically for those afflicted with a memory-related disease.
